One of my specialties is using ancient techniques to help uncover your purpose in life, which tends to be fascinating to learn about, whether you are 18 or 80.  

How exactly does natal astrology work? 

The birth chart is the map of the cosmos at the exact moment and location that you were born. 

The basic premise of natal astrology is that this map of the cosmos is imprinted onto the soul that incarnates.   What is most closely identified with baby born is the zodiacal sign and any celestial bodies that are rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth. 

No two astrologers will look at a birth chart exactly the same way.  Every astrologer brings to the chart a combination of technical training and intuitive insight.   

A final word:

From a purely rational perspective, natal astrology should not work.  What makes it so impressive is how it affirms the Hermetic maxim "As Above, So Below."  When we study the birth chart and how it illuminates our lived experience, we acknowledge the interconnectedness of all creation, and each person's small place within the larger whole.
