Horary Astrology is a highly technical and specialized form of astrology in which a person asks a pressing question that is personally relevant, and the astrologer casts a chart for the time and place the question is received.  

The chart of the moment (horary = of the hour) is descriptive of the circumstances surrounding the querent (person asking), and from the chart the astrologer can offer guidance and often predictions about how events are unfolding.  The horary chart therefore can help the querent determine the best course of action to take, or at the very least can provide a better understanding of the situation. 

How to Ask a Horary Question:

A horary question should be:

• Of pressing concern to YOU personally (not someone else, not about global events) 
• Something you have been thinking about for at least 24 hours
• Something that relates to a time between now and ideally not more than a year from now

A simple binary (a or b, yes or no) yields clearest answers: 

→ Should I move to London or stay here? Will I get the job? Will he ask me to marry him?

More complex questions yield more complex /descriptive answers

→ What’s going on with our relationship right now?  

Sometimes a question must be reworded so that the phrasing speaks to the root question.  I can help with this.

Questions that won’t work so well for Horary Astrology 

→ Will I ever get married? (time frame too long)

→ When will I get married? When will I get rich? (makes an assumption that is not yet known)

I have successfully answered horary questions relating to 

• Love and relationships
• Vocation and career path
• Buying/selling real estate 
• Pregnancy and childbirth.   

At this time I am not accepting questions related to lost objects or medical astrology, but other astrologers do answer these. 

A final word: 

From a purely rational perspective, Horary Astrology should not work.  What makes it so impressive is how it affirms the Hermetic maxim "As Above, So Below."  To ask a horary question, and to perform a horary analysis, we acknowledge the interconnectedness of all creation, and each person's small place within the larger whole.
